BENTON COUNTY — The Fine Arts Department of the Benton County Fair will accept artwork from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 15. Judging will be held Aug. 16.

Artists must be from Benton County and the exhibited work should be less than two years old and not a copy. All ages are welcome and will be judged accordingly, according to a news release.

Artists are allowed to bring as many pieces as they like, within reason. All artwork must be framed and ready to hang.

The artwork is to remain in the Fine Arts Department until 7 p.m. Aug. 22. Prize money, if any, will be mailed.

Bring a self-addressed,stamped envelope for blue or red ribbons for each person entering, the release stated.

Volunteers are needed to help in the Art Department throughout the week of the fair, which is Aug. 17-21.

Day and evening slots are available, starting Wednesday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. For more information, call 273-3270.
