Pud Hendrickson passed away at his home Thursday morning after a long illness. Pud was a lifelong Hiwasse resident and well known in the area. Sympathy is extended to his family.

Jim Jarvis suffered a mild heatstroke this week.

Chris Johnson is recovering from a broken leg received in a fall at a family ball game.

Ward Carrier was dismissed from the hospital on Friday and is recuperating at home.

Lisa Habermehl was scheduled for hip replacementsurgery. Remember her in your prayers.

I was very thankful for the 2/10 of an inch of rain I received Saturday evening. However 49er wasn’t very happy about all the sharp thunder.

Ruby Hight suffered a fall at home on Saturday.

School starts Monday. As you drive around, watch out for the excited little ones and the bewildered pets who don’t understand getting left behind.

Marlo Hamilton has spent the weekend with home folks. Friday she and Robert spent the day at the postoffice serving cake to the people whocame to say “Bye” and “Good luck” to Geneva.

Laura Perkins will be the officer in charge at the post office until a permanent person is hired.

Friday night, Reese, Beau and Kolton Hamilton spentthe night with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton.

Marlo Hamilton spent Saturday night with her friend Susan and John Lykins in Gravette before returning to her home.
