— It’s still summertime. There were a few places that got some rain showers Saturday evening, but I don’t think there was any at my house. Maybe it will be our turn soon.

There was a big fire on Wet Prairie north of Maysville on Friday afternoon. There wasa hay barn and a lot of hay burned. The firemen kept it away from the homes. The big part of it was on Hunter and Summerfield fields. They are very thankful to all the firemen who worked so hard in this heat to get it under control and save buildings.

Shelley Bishop visited her grandparents, Jack andSylvia Tucker, on Thursday of last week.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker and I went to Lowell on Saturday morning to the Vanzant Orchard and fruit market to getsome peaches. They sure are good.

Gerald Tucker of Gentry came by to visit me on Saturday. He had been to the farmers’ market in Gravette and he came by here. I’m always glad to have him come by to visit.
