Summer reading turns to day of summer fun

— Gentry Library’s summer reading program held its blowout party at the McKee swimming pool in Gentry on Saturday.

Children who participated in the weekly reading event over the summer had opportunity to swim and win prizes.

Terri Guntharp, coordinator of the summer reading program, expressed her appreciation for all who helped to make the reading program a success again this summer. Included among those she thanked were:April Gaches, Michelle Jech and Marietta Quam, who volunteered to help with the reading sessions and activities each week. Also mentioned for their donations and support were McKee Foods and Walmart’s Global, Security, Aviation and Travel Administration.
