GRAVETTE — Through the efforts of Senator John Boozman and his assistant Lt. Col. Gray, a Gravette serviceman recently was awarded medals he had earned during service in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
John Roquemore waspresented medals at a ceremony at the Rogers VFW Post 3031 on July 9.
Roquemore received the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal, according to Varlen Traxler, commander of the post.
