— Bill Schaffer of Gravette won the TV in the drawing that the Maysville E. H. Club held on Gravette Day.

School bells were ringing Monday morning for several schools, including Gravette, so we need to watch for buses and also the children who walk.

There were some Maysville E. H. Club members who went to IHOP in Rogers on Wednesday morning for breakfast and then toured the Rogers Historical Museum. Those attending were Orpha Wardlaw, Bert Ballmann, Jewel, Nikki and Melinda Crawley and two guests, Susan Tucker and Jean Martindale. There were some children who went also. August is our free month so that’s what we did and weeach paid for our own meal. It was an enjoyable day.

It was good to see Jewel Lukens out for church Sunday. She has not felt good lately but is doing better now.

We were sure blessed with a good rain this week. I think it covered a big area that was in need. Farmers were glad because pastures needed it and ponds needed filling.

Juanda Prelle’s family lost their hay barn, a lot of hay and their pasture from the fire north of Maysville last week.

Muriel (Black) Collins of Pineville visited Jewel Lukens on Thursday morning.

Don Crawley’s birthday was celebrated by family members last week.

Nikki Crawley visited Jewel Lukens one day last week.

Jeff Rich of Siloam Springs visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker one day last week.

Shelly Bishop visited her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, one day last week.

My visitors on Saturday were my nephew Rick Vandiver of Pineville, who was taking part in the Gravette Day parade, Steve and Susan Tucker of Bella Vista, Clifton and daughter Nichole and my great-grandson Tyler of Bella Vista. I enjoyed all of them coming by.

The Tucker reunion was enjoyed at Maysville on Sunday. The attendance was smaller than usual. We enjoyed Marvin Wilber coming over and visiting. There was a lot of good food and Patti (Tucker) King had organized a nice picture display that everyone enjoyed.
