Gentry making fall festival plans

Arts and crafts vendors invited to reserve booth space

— Arts and crafts vendors are being invited to Gentry for the Annual Fall Festival scheduled for the afternoon of Oct. 9. Activities and entertainment will be held at the Gentry City Park from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.

“We are offering free booth space to arts and crafters at this Sundayafternoon event,” said Bev Saunders, Gentry Chamber of Commerce director. “We are also offering free booth space to political candidates, educational booths and booths for Gentry Chamber of Commerce members.”

Anyone wishing to reserve booth space may pick up a form at Gentry City Hall or the Gentry Chamber of Commerce building.

“There will only be 25 booths, reserved on a first-come basis,” Saunders said.

Anyone who would like to have a booth reservation form mailed to them may contact Saunders at 736-2358.

“Please leave your name and a mailing address to send the form on the answering machine,” Saunders said.

Activities planned for this annual event including free concerts by the Flint Hill Ramblers and Dale Johnston.

Gentry United Way agencies will host games and special activities in an effort to raise funds for the local United Way.

There will be inflatables for the children to playon and festival foods, Saunders said. The Gentry Fire Department will host its annual car show in conjunction with the Fall Festival.
