Gravette Fire Truck

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

— Those who attended the Gravette Day parade saw Gravette's new pumper-rescue fire truck, which replaces a 1947 pumper which is being retired. Gravette purchased the truck from the city of Dallas. It came equipped with much hose, ladders and other equipment, including hydraulic light and ladder systems.

Transfer of rigging from the old truck has been completed.

The new truck will go a long way toward improving Gravette’s ISO insurance rating to No. 3, which could save insurance costs for citizens. Volunteer firemen Chris Kelley and Glenn Baughman stand at the side of the new truck.
