Gentry's Got Talent to again be part of this year's Fall Festival

— Gentry’s Got Talent will again be a part of the Gentry’s Fall Festival. The talent show will be part of many activities sponsored by the Gentry United Way and the Gentry Chamber of Commerce to be held in the Gentry City Park on Oct 9.

The open talent show will begin around 12:30 p.m. in the performing pavilion. Prizes, $300 cash first-place and $200 cash runner-up, sponsored by Gentry United Way will be awarded.

Entry forms may be obtained at Gentry City Hall or by calling 736-2358 to have one mailed. There is no entry fee for the competition. Forms must be postmarked no later than Oct. 5 or turned into Gentry City Hall no later than Oct 7. Due to time restriction, entries could be limited to 20 acts. They will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis - including postmark dates.

Check-in for participants and CDs will be at about 12 p.m. in front of the performing stage in the park. The judges’ decision will be final. All ages are encouraged to participate.

Entertainment at this year’s event will include concerts by Tiffany Donahue Fisher, the Flint Hill Ramblers, and Dale Johnston (also known as the Gospel Troubadour).
