Early morning crash injures three

— Three people were injured in a multiple vehicle collision on Arkansas Highway 59 at Y-City Road early on Wednesday, Nov. 30.

According to Arkansas State Police, the accident occurred shortly before 7 a.m. when a southbound 1980 Chevy pickup truck driven by Shawn McGarrah, 25, of Bentonville, stopped to make a left-hand turn from Arkansas Highway 59 onto Y-City Road and was struck from behind by a southbound 2006 Nissan Altima driven by Luis Hernandez, 30, of Rogers. Mc-Garrah’s pickup truck thencrossed the center line and was sideswiped by a northbound 2000 Toyota Tundra driven by Michael Cooper, 54, of Tahlequah, Okla.

All three drivers were injured in the accident and were transported by ambulance to Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital, where they were treated and released, according to State Police.

Seat belts were in use in all three vehicles, according to a State Police press release. There were no passengers in any of the vehicles.
