We received a good rain last week and now we are to get colder weather but after all it is December.

This week’s items include two weeks. I didn’t get any news in last week.

I spent Thanksgiving with Clifton and Judy Tucker in Bella Vista. We had a big Thanksgiving dinner. It was very good. Judy had made me a birthday cake. I got to see grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and enjoyed it very much. Clifton came after me and Judy brought me home.

Gary and Helen Chism took me to Decatur to eat at the Gallery Cafe Thursday evening for my birthday and I enjoyed that very much. The Gallery gave me my choice of pie to take home for my birthday and I took banana cream. It sure was good.

Steve and Susan Tucker of Bella Vista came out on Sunday evening before Thanksgiving. We went to Maysville Bible Church that evening for the Thanksgiving praise service, then came back here and they gave me a birthday gift and we visited. Tracy Warren came over for a while. All in all I had a good birthday.

On Wednesday before Thanksgiving I had my granddaughter Julie Cook and my great-grandson Billy over and I cooked us a Thanksgiving dinner. I enjoyed them spending the time with me.

Paul Ward passed away Wednesday night at his home north of Maysville. He had spent most of his life here. Funeral services were held and burial was at Maysville Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to the family.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker spent Thanksgiving with their daughter Patti King in Lowell. Patti’s friend Petru was there also. They went out to eat for their Thanksgiving dinner.

Maysville E. H. Club members, I’ll put in a reminder this week in case Idon’t get it in next week. The club Christmas dinner and program will be Dec. 15 at Maysville Community Building. Each one should bring a $5 wrapped gift for the game and nonperishable canned food for the Feed My Sheep Pantry. Anyone who has a reading or poem bring it and that can be the program.

Byron Warren came over last Sunday morning. We had coffee and did a lot of visiting. He had just got in from work and was hunting a cup of coffee. He knew I’d have it. I enjoyed him coming over.
