School advisory board sought

— Superintendent Larry Ben is looking to form an advisory board, made up of community members and school staff, to exploreways to improve the Decatur School District.

The board will consist of parents, community members, teachers, administrators and school board members to get input from all perspectives.

“The purpose will be to look at what we want for our district and what we need to get there,” Ben said.

The advisory board will set its own agenda and spend its time discussing relevant issues. It willmeet quarterly, starting after Christmas break, Ben said.
