Three killed in Hwy. 102 crash

— Three people were killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident on Arkansas 102, west of Centerton.

Frances E. Lee, 50, of Siloam Springs, Brandi L. Brumley, 30, of Bentonville and Braylon Atkinson, 1, of Bentonville were all pronounced dead at the scene of the crash which happened at1:19 p.m. on Arkansas 102 about 3.7 miles west of Centerton, according to a summary of the accident from the Arkansas State Police.

According to the report, Lee was traveling east in a 2002 Buick SUV and was negotiating a curve when Brumley, who was heading west, crossed the centerline in a 1998 Jeep Cherokee and struck Lee’s Buick head-on. Braylon was a passenger in Brumley’s Jeep. Anotherchild in the Brumley vehicle, Blaze P. Atkinson, 3, was airlifted to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, according to the summary.

The 3-year-old was listed Saturday afternoon in serious condition at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, according to a hospital spokesman.

State Police Cpl. Jana Cordes is the investigating officer. According to Cordes’ report all four were wearing seat belts.
