— I wish all my readers a very Merry Christmas.

The curve on North Hwy. 279 claimed another victim this week, the mail truck this time. Thankfully there were no injuries.

Dale Henry had surgery on his shoulder on Thursday. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Those having lunch with me on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier, Brian Carrier, Trevor and Emily Belvins.

There are a lot of sick in our community including Rick and Annette Banks, Ron Lowe and Lamarise Carrier.

Tami Presley celebrated her birthday on Monday. She was visiting Regina Keith while some repair work was being done on her apartment.

Ronny and Sandy Bates from Oklahoma have been visiting their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paul Hamilton, over the weekend. They all enjoyed helping Kolton celebrate his birthday on Thursday.Donna Fletcher was also a guest. Saturday evening they attended Reese’s dance recital in Gravette.

A large crowd attended the consolidation Thursday night. Members were elected to the board.

Guess everyone has been Christmas shopping this week. No one has made much news anyway.

Dec. 21, 1913, a crossword puzzle was published for the first time. It appeared in the Sunday edition of the New York World.
