GED classes to be offered at Gravette library

— Those wishing to study for the General Educational Development test will soon be able to attend classes in Gravette. The announcement came today from the Gravette PublicLibrary, where the GED classes will be held Tuesday evenings each week, starting Feb. 15. Hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m.

According to Margo Thomas, spokesperson for the library, the program is being provided by the Adult Development Centerthrough Northwest Arkansas Community College.

The classes are free, Thomas said. Books and materials will be furnished but students may buy their own books for a small price, she added. Participants will furnish their own paper and pencils.

There is no age limit but class size is limited, Thomas said.

Anyone interested is encouraged to call the library, 787-6955, to pre-register or obtain information. Students may also show up at 5 p.m., Feb. 15, to register for the classes.
