— Winter weather delayed but didn’t stop Decatur High School’s Colors Day and Seniors' Night Ceremony.

The festivities were originally planned for Friday night, but after two winter storms hit the area last week, holding the games was out of the question. School officials decided to hold the games on Monday night - even though school was still out due to snow - because it was the last opportunity for a home game before the senior high district tournament at County Line, according to athletic director Bobby King. It was also the last home game of the season, he said.

Seniors Chai (Shelly) I-Hsuan was named Queen and Mitchell Nelson was named team captain during the Colors Day ceremony held at 6 p.m.

Eight seniors and their parents were honored later in the evening during the Seniors' Night program before the senior high girls' game.

Decatur lost to Mountainburg in three of the four games - senior boys, senior girls and junior girls - but defeated Mountainburg 29-21 in the junior high boys' game.
