Gravette sets meeting agendas

— Meetings of the Gravette City Council Committee of the Whole and Gravette Planning Commission are set for this month, with the latter meeting being a public hearing.

Committee of the Whole

The Gravette City Council Committee of the Whole will meet at 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Gravette City Hall with agenda items including reports from the fire, ambulance, police, streets and utilities, library, planning and communications/resource departments.

Discussion will include an offer of purchase of cell tower property by Steele Communications, opening a sealed bid for pool refurbishment, enclosure for the Lion fountain in Kindley Park, review of options for sewer upgrade and an ordinance to increase pay for elected and appointed officials.

A meeting of the finance committee will follow with distribution and discussion of monthly reports.

Planning Commission Public Hearing

The Gravette Planning Commission will hold a public hearing Feb. 21 to discuss a preliminary construction plat for property located at 800 First Avenue SE and 109 Galveston SE. The hearing will be at 6 p.m. at Gravette City Hall, 604 First Avenue SE, according to Commission Chairman Mike von Ree. The property location involved is the site of the old Gravette Medical Center Hospital.

“All interested parties are urged to attend,” said von Ree.
