— Ricky Harris, Sr.

Ricky Lane Harris, Sr., 46, of Gravette, died Feb. 1, 2011, at Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette.

He was born Jan. 20, 1965, in Coleman, Ala., to Ottis Harris and Pauline Isabell Harris. He was employed in the meat department of Marvin’s Grocery Store in Gravette. He married Christina Davis in Lakeland, Fla., on May 1, 1987.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his wife Christina of the home; two sons, Pvt. Ricky Harris, Jr., and Charles Harris, both of Gravette; two daughters, Kathryn Harris and Helen Harris, both of Gravette; his mother, Pauline Harris of Lakeland; two brothers, Paul Harris and Lee Harris, both of Lakeland; one sister, Helen Watson of Lakeland.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at Gravette Civic Center in Gravette.

Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Earl “Butch” Brown, 65, of Rogers, died Feb. 7, 2011, at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville.

He was born Jan. 7, 1946, in Nicut, Okla., to the late Earl Brown, Sr., and Thelma Nellie Cline Brown. He was a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas and was a member of Piney Point Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish and spent many hours with his guitar.

Survivors include his wife of almost 43 years, Shirley (Lindquist) Brown of the home; one daughter, Lana Rodgers and her husband Craig of Piney Point; one son, Cody Brown and his wife Christin of Bentonville; two sisters, Ludy Todd of Tulsa and Murleen Rounds of Gentry; 10 grandchildren; andfour great-grandchildren.

Services were Feb. 15 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers with Chuck Sackman officiating.

Marion Bryson

Marion “Joann” Bryson, 78, of Maysville, died Feb. 8, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

She was born Oct. 4, 1932, in Delaware County, Okla., to Scott and Sallie Owens Tanner. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters, Lesa Buffer of Maysville, Dorothy Hardbarger and husband Sammy of Gravette, and Brenda Bryson of Jay, Okla.; two sons, Chooch Bryson and wife Leona and Glenn Bryson, all of Maysville; two stepdaughters, Mary Davidson of Siloam Springs and Sissy Davidson of Walnut Creek, Calif.; a stepson, Dean Bryson of Gentry; a brother; three sisters; nine grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Feb. 14 at Piney Baptist Church in Jay. Burial was at Piney Cemetery in Jay.

Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Helen D. Janes

Helen D. Janes, 76, of Watts, Okla., died Feb. 11, 2011, at Regency Hospital in Fayetteville.

She was born May 5, 1934, in Vernon, Texas, to Charlie John and Jessie Scott Seals. She was a member of TOPS in Gentry and retired from Simmons Industries.

Survivors Include a son, Mitchel Janes of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Linda Chatman and husband Billy of West Fork, Debbie Frey and husband Fred of Roseburg, Ore., Janet McGarrah and husband Sam of Wyandotte, Okla.; a sister; four grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

Funeral services were held Feb. 15 at Faith Alive Church in West Siloam Springs, Okla.Burial was at the Baptist Mission Cemetery near Watts, Okla.

Peggy Langham

Peggy Langham, 74, of Rogers, died Feb. 6, 2011, in Rogers.

She was born July 9, 1936, in Sulphur Springs to Mr. and Mrs. Claude Newman, who owned the Sulphur Springs Telephone Company for several years. She owned Langham Tax Service in Rogers.

She is survived by her children, Ann LaMastus and Miles Langham, and one grandson, all of Rogers.

Olive Mae Pearce

Olive Mae Pearce, 79, of Springdale, died Feb. 10, 2011.

She was born June 12, 1931, in Benton County, to Zelma Ruth (Shook) Holland and Herschel (Buck) Holland. She grew up on the farm located northwest of the Healing Springs community. She was a member of the last graduating class of Vaughn High School in 1949, where she played on the women’s six-on-six basketball squad. She married classmate Fred Pearce on March 31, 1951. She was a member and former Sunday school teacher in the Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years; her parents; and her brother, Herschel Owen Holland.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Davis; her son Michael Pearce and wife Denise; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson

Funeral services were Feb. 14 at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with Audie Long officiating. Private burial services were held in the Elm Springs Cemetery.

Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home of Springdale.

Warren Sprinkles

Warren “Dick” G. Sprinkles, 86, died Feb. 12, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.

He was born March 18, 1924, in Garfield, to the late Joseph E. and Virginia (Lansdown) Sprinkles. He married Veda (Gillum) Sprinkles. He was a security guard at Walmart.

He is survived by four sons, Jackie W. and Brenda Sprinkles of Decatur, Charles J. and Karen Sprinkles of Siloam Springs, Jacky and Yasemin Lloyd of Lompoc, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Lloyd of Rogers; five daughters, Carolyn and Bobby Stewart of Garfield, Patsy and Mike Wilkins of Decatur, Dorothy Pate of Centerton, Marilyn G. and Bill Hughes of Harrison, and Lesa and Stephen Henderson of Pineville, Mo.; his first wife, Vesta Reynolds, of Centeron; 19 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous greatgreat grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Barbara and her husband Ewill Stuthers, and by son Richard Lloyd.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, at Rollins Funeral Chapel, with Jack Austin officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m, in the Chapel. Burial will follow in Ruddick Cemetery, Garfield.

Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.

Paul Tate

Paul Eugene Tate, 77, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Sulphur Springs, died Feb. 9, 2011, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

He was born Jan. 3, 1937, in Oklahoma City, to Jesse and Amanda Tate. He attended Sulphur Springs school. He moved to the Kansas City area from New Mexico in 1970. He was a member of Sterling Acres Baptist Church, belonged to the American Legion Post 596 and the Masonic Lodge and was historian for the Kansas City Civil War Roundtable. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he retired from the U.S. Dept. of Energy after many years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Nelma L. Payne-Tate, his parents and three sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Paula Nicholson and husband Bill, Bobbi Wineberg and husband Bob, and Patti Cummins and husband Hal; eight grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were Feb. 14 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville with burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Arrangements were by McGilley and Sheil Chapel, Kansas City, Mo.

Evelyn Marie Wade

Evelyn Marie Wade, 83, of Siloam Springs, died Feb. 7, 2011, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 17, 1927, in Cherokee City to Joseph Earl Setser and Ona Mae Trammell. She worked in poultry processing.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny Ray Wade of Siloam Springs and Donald Ray Wade of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Joyce Studie of Bunch, Okla., Gloria Place of Wheaton, Mo., and Terry Place of San Antonio, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great- and greatgreat-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be private.

Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
