Clements honored at magnet school

— Tait Clements of Decatur received a third place award at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts district conference held in Hot Springs.

Clements, son of Heidi and Anthony Migliori of Decatur, received the award for his “spreadsheet applications” entry.

The ASMSA is one of 14 public residential high schools in the country specializing in the education of academically gifted juniors and seniors.

Walker on William Baptist Dean's List

William Baptist College in Walnut Ridge, Ark ., announced that Hollyann Walker of Maysville has been named to the Dean’s List for the 2010 fall semester.

Students must achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average to receive the honor.
