MT. PLEASANT NEWS

The Christmas season is behind us. It’s time for renewal. Let’s look ahead and plan for a great year.

Bill Edgmon spent a few days at Christmastime in the hospital. Bill had knee replacement surgery. He is home and doing great. He has been able to join the guys at Austin Drug for coffee and was back at church on Sunday.

Natasha and Chloe Duke were here from Carrolton, Tex., visiting their grandparents, Vern and Gloria Laughlin. My, how they have grown! Linda andAlan Sanders, Darlene and Louise McVay spent Thursday night and Friday in Springfield, Mo. Alan had a class for his job so the girls and I decided to tag along. We had dinner with daughter Jackie and friend Brandon Thursday evening.

On Friday the girls and I spent the day at the Discovery Kids Center. We had a great time and it was very educational. I found out that Darlene is grounded. And Louise, well, let’s just say she can light a lightbulb standing on the ground. In all, it was a great day.
