Energy assistance available through OHC

— The Office of Human Concern is accepting applications for the Summer 2011 Regular and Crisis Summer Home Energy Assistance Program, the agency recently announced.

To qualify for the assistance, there are certain requirements for applying, the announcement stated, including supplying written verification of all income sources.

Income limits include the following for number in household size and monthly countable income limits: 1 person, $1,471; 2 persons, $1,924; 3 persons, $2,377; 4 persons, $2,829; 5 persons, $3,282.

Applications for those age 60 and older may be made at local senior activity centers including those in Gravette, at 1870 Limekiln Rd. (787-5950); Gentry, at 121 E. Main St. (736-0378); and Siloam Springs, at 750 Heritage Court (524-5735).

Applications for those under age 60 are available at the United Methodist Church in Gravette, which is open from 9 a.m. until noon each Tuesday, or atlocations in Bentonville and Rogers. For information, call 636-7301 or 877-777-6422.
