Billie Fletcher has spent some time in the hospital this week following a mild stroke.

How did I miss that? July 5th was the 65th birthday of the bikini.

Congratulations to the Cox family on the birth of their new baby boy.

Elaine Presley opened a new beauty shop in Hiwasse on Friday. EClipZ opened in the Plaza on Highway 72.

Dorene Wills from Jenks, Okla., visited with me Friday afternoon. She was in the area to attend a Kerr cousin reunion in BellaVista over the weekend.

Robert Martin is in serious condition in a Little Rock hospital.

Congratulations to former Hiwasse area residents Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Curtis who are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

Mr. and Mrs. Rick Banks have relatives from out of state visiting over the weekend.

Ruby Hight suffered an injury to her hand in an accident at her home.

Those having Sunday lunch with me included Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier and DaleLynn Carrier.

Some in the area received rain and small hail on Saturday evening. I heard the thunder but it never even got cloudy at my house.

Word has been received here that David Goforth had recently passed away. Sympathy is extended to the family.

Friday was Robert Hamilton’s birthday. Robert Paul and family took him out to see and to see a Naturals game. Robert and Geneva went out to eat to celebrate their anniversary.
