Jobs under way at schools

— Refurbishing jobs were completed just before the Fourth of July holiday at the Gravette Middle School and Glenn Duffy Elementary School in Gravette.

The work by Built-Well Construction Company involved replacing all the grids, insulation and ceiling tiles in the Middle School. Similar work, also including wall repair and refinishing, was involved at the Glenn Duffy Elementary School.

All the work has been completed except for final cleanup at both projects.

The projects, costing $155,240 at Glenn Duffy Elementary and $78,840 at the Middle Schoolwere paid for with stimulus money the districtreceived. Contracts for paving parking lots on school property have been awarded and work on those projects could begin as early as this week.
