Gravette FFA attends State Convention

— Gravette FFA members traveled to Camp Couchdale, outside of Hot Springs, on June 8, 9 and 10. The Gravette chapter, along with other chapters from across the state, was recognized in the first general session as a recipient of the National Superior Chapter Award.

Throughout the convention, chapter members heard from special guests and motivational speakers, which included governor Mike Beebe, Major General Arnold Fields and William L. Walker, Jr., director of Arkansas Career Education.

Special entertainment was provided Thursday evening by Sgt. 1st Class Jamie Buckley in a two hour concert for FFA members.

Tyler Martin and Kayla Holliday served as delegates for the Gravette chapter and took part inthe election of the 2011-12 state officer team.
