Two FFA students attend livestock judging camp

— Two Decatur FFA members - Haley Burden and Lacy Barrett - attended the Conners State College Livestock Judging Camp held June 2 through 4 in Warner, Okla.

Burden and Barrett attended the camp and received lessons on livestock judging skills, note taking and oral reasons.

On the last day of camp, students participated in alivestock judging contest. Barrett won first place overall and second place in oral reasons. She received a plaque and free tuition to judging camp next year.

Burden placed fifth overall and received a plaque and $50 towards next year’s camp.

Barrett also went to the World Pork Expo in Des Moines, Iowa, June 8 through 10, and was ninth high point individual in the judging contest.
