Gravette Church to give away free school supplies

— A free clothing and school supply give-away for students in kindergarten though grade 12 will be held at the Gravette Church of Christ from 10 a.m. to noon, Aug. 6.

The church has been holding the give-away formore than 20 years and served more than 200 families last year, according to pastor Bob Kirkley.

The church collects the supplies and clothing through donations from church and community members, and other agencies, he said.

“We do it every year to make sure the kids have what they need to get agood start in school,” Kirkley said.

Supplies and clothing will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis at the church, located at 202 S.W. Irving Street in Gravette; and all community school children are eligible to participate. To donate school supplies and new or gently used clothing, call 787-6459.
