Event is to be sponsored by Gravette Historical Museum

— The Gravette Day parade this year will feature a jet fly-over, according to the Gravette Historical Museum Commission.

The commission, at its meeting last week, voted to sponsor the fly-over which will coordinate with a float the museumwill be entering in the parade scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13.

The commission also announced a dedication of the new annex that morning at 11:30 on the museum grounds of the Kindley House, 503 Charlotte Street, S.E.

Exhibits are being arranged in the new 2,400-square-foot building constructed through a $20,000grant from the Arkansas Historical Preservation Division and supplemented by local donations and through fundraisers.

Steve Mitchael, chairman of the commission, and its members invite everyone to attend the dedication ceremony and enjoy the new exhibit hall as well as the historic Kindley Home. Admission is free.
