Man punches sister, kicks officer

— Gregory Taylor, 23, of Siloam Springs, was arrested for domestic battery and battery against a police officer in incidents which occurred in the 200 block of North Giles on June 26.

According to police reports and an affidavit of probable cause, Taylor was arrested after punching his sister in the face and injuring his brother-in-law when he stepped in between Taylor and his sister and while he restrained him until police arrived.Police noted the odor of intoxicants on Taylor, the affidavit states.

He also, according to the affidavit, spit on a sheriff’s deputy and kicked him in the face when the deputy tried to prevent him from kicking out the window of a Gentry patrol unit.

Taylor was placed in additional restraints and transported to the Benton County Jail by Gentry police officer Jack Sanders.

According to the affidavit, he was charged with two counts of third degree domestic battery, resisting arrest, and one felony county of second degreebattery against a police officer.
