Gentry athletes place at state competition in Heber Springs

LITTLE ROCK — All four Gentry participants placed in the state meet held at Heber Springs on May 7.

Bryer Pruss finished eighth in the shot put with a throw of 41 feet, 9 inches. Eathen Ramsey finished seventh in the discus witha throw of 125 feet, 0 inches. Kevin Scherer finished second in the discus with a throw of 146 feet, 7 inches. He also qualified for the Meet of Champions where he placed sixth. Austin Millsap had a fourth-place finish in the pole vault with a vault of 12 feet, 0 inches.

In the girls’ competition,Rebekah Cook finished eighth in the shot put.

Courtney Millsap competed in the 100 and 200 meter dash but did not place. Courtney Millsap, Nacona Dunlap, Brookelyn Williamson and Jordan Olds also ran in the 4x100 meter relay but did not place.
