Changes made at Gentry PD

— GENTRY - The police department announced several personnel changes in the department to fill current vacant positions and continue to provide existing services to the citizens of Gentry. Among those changes are the following:

◊The resignation of fulltime patrol officer Eric Smith, effective May 17;

◊Jeff Ward promoted to sergeant following written examinations and interviews, effective May 16;

◊Promotion of part-time II paid patrolman Jack Sanders to full-time patrolman, effective May 16;

◊Hiring of Blake Webb to full-time patrolman, effective June 1;

◊Promotion of reserve officer-patrolman Darren Robertson to part-time paid patrolman on June 16; and

◊Promotion of Todd Woodall, current animal control and code enforcement officer to part-time II/reserve patrolman in addition to current duties, also effective June 16.

Gentry Police Chief Keith Smith said no new positions were created but that the changes filled existing positions in his department.
