Library observes Old Settlers Day

— Talbot Library and Museum was pleased to host its annual Book and Bake Sale in observance of Old Settlers Day on June 4.

Grace Puffinbarger was honored to ride in the Old Settlers Day Parade as "Miss Talbot Library." She rode in a car belonging to her grandson, Jared Whitmire, and was also accompanied by granddaughter Stephanie Whitmire.

Other events held at Talbot's were a booksigning by renowned western book author Dusty Richards and bluegrass music by the Flint Creek Ramblers band.

Hamburger dinners were offered for sale and the Colcord Rodeo Queens participated in the speech portion of their contest in the Springtown Schoolhouse.

There was also a car show, a horseshoe pitching tournament and many other events in Colcord on that day.
