Gravette man killed in Oklahoma car crash

— A Gravette man was killed in a one vehicle crash west of Jay on Saturday night.

According to the Oklahoma State Patrol, Pedro Cesar Ramirez, 30, was westbound in a 2002 Nissan Maxima on SH20 in Delaware County, Okla. His vehicle, after coming up behind another vehicle, left the roadway, struck a utility pole on the driver’s side and overturned 1 3/4 times, with Ramirez being partially ejected. The vehicle came to rest on Ramirez, the report states.

Ramirez is alleged to have been driving at an unsafe speed and had the odor of alcohol on him. Seat belts were not used, the report states.

Ramirez was transported by the Jay Emergency Medical Services to Integris Hospital in Grove. He was pronounced dead on arrival, the report states.
