GENTRY — Derek Jech, son of Don Jech and Kim and Delno Walden of Gentry, received his bachelor of arts degree in advertising from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif., on April 30. He is a 2006 graduate of Gentry High School.
While at Pepperdine, Jech participated in the Florence, Italy, study abroad program and the Washington D.C. internship program. He interned for real estate agent and television personality Madison Hildebrand from Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing and worked for Bono’s ONE Campaign.
He also traveled to Dubai as a part of a cultural exchange hosted by the United Arab Emirates minister of higher education and crown prince of Abu Dhabi. Jech has accepted a position working as a marketing coordinator for After10, an interactive development agency, and planned to relocate to New York City in early May.
