— We have sure had summer weather but after all it is almost July. We are supposed to get rain this week so the weatherman says.

Hope all fathers had a happy Father’s Day.

Patti King of Lowell visited her parents on Wednesday and spent the night. She went home on Thursday afternoon.

Orpha Wardlaw visited Johnnie Mae Marshall one afternoon this week. She was back in church Sunday morning. I’m sure she is happy to be able to be out some.

Shelley Bishop visited her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, one afternoon last week.

Jewel Lukens and her brother Jimmy Brown of Sulphur Springs visited their sister, Dorothy Boyd,in Neosho Hospital on Thursday.

Violet Lovell and other family members had a Father’s Day dinner for Billy Lovell. Happy Father’s Day, Billy. After dinner they enjoyed the swimming pool in the afternoon.

Steve and Susan Tucker of Bella Vista came over to see me on Saturday. They put up a new mailbox in front of my house because it will be much handier for me. I had cooked dinner and we enjoyed eating and visiting.

Sammie Sappington visited her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, on Saturday. She went to Lowell to visit her mother, Patti King. She left for home on Monday. She is living in Minnesota now after graduating from the U of A in Fayetteville.

Maysville E. H. Clubmembers, remember this Thursday is regular club day at the community building. Lunch at noon will be followed by the business meeting. See you there.

Patti King visited Ronnie and Debbie Sims on Saturday and spent the night, then went by to see Jack and Sylvia Tucker on the way home to see her dad, Jack, fro Father’s Day. Happy Father’s Day, Jack.

One day this week I went to Springdale to see my brother, Vernon, in the hospital. I went with my sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Jim Crawford of Decatur. Our brother, Jim Vandiver, came over to see him also. We were happy for him to get off the ventilator. He is doing better but has a long way to go yet. Our other sister, Frances Sims of Bentonville, was there too.
