Planting trees in Gentry

GENTRY — Arbor Day in Gentry was celebrated May 26. Mayor Kevin Johnston signed a proclamation. A tree was planted on the Gentry High School grounds by the Gentry High School greenhouse class, directed by David Nelson. Also attending the event was David Duncan of the Illinois River Watershed Partnership, Gentry city council members Janie Parks and Janice Arnold and Gentry Chamber of Commerce director Bev Saunders.
