— Plans for the annual Gravette High School Lions Golf Classic have been announced by the GHS Boosters.

The ninth annual fundraiser will be held Saturday, May 7, at the Bella Vista Scotsdale Golf course and entries are now being sought.

Sponsors, both corporate and individual, are also needed to support the event which contributes all proceeds in support of GHS activities.

In addition to Academic Achievement Awards including scholarships, support goes to the athletic, drama, vocal music, instrumental, music, HOSA and cheerleaders departments.

The classic is for both men and women and is limited to the first 144 entries. Participants will compete for prizes including closest to the pin, hole-in-one and longest drive.

Cost for the four-person scramble is $60 per person, which includes golf fees and tee favors. Play will start at 8 a.m. Lunch will be served following the scramble.

Corporate and hole sponsorships are needed and businesses and individuals may sponsor a hole with a donation of $100 or more.

Corporate sponsorships range from $250 to $1,000, which will cover up to eight players depending on the donation.

Thousands of dollars have been contributed to benefit Gravette students during the eight years the classic has been held and the Boosters are looking forward to a full field again this year.

The roster is usually filled early before the May 2 registration deadline.

For information and to register, contact John Edwards, 876-1192, or Jack Skillett, 876-6841. Both men are members of the Gravette School Board and members of the Boosters.
