Garber charged in burglary case

Police obtained sufficient evidence to secure arrest warrants in September case.

— The Gravette Police Department last Tuesday, March 1, charged a Gravette man with residential burglary in connection with an incident that occurred in September of last year.

Lt. David Smith of the Gravette PD said that during the course of the burglary that occurred at a local residence, approximately $20,000 contained within a safe was taken during the incident.

“Officer James Boothman of the Gravette PD, along with assistance from investigators with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, obtained sufficient evidence to secure an arrest warrant for Jonathon Garber, 19, of Gravette inconnection with the case,” Smith said.

“During the investigation, Garber confessed to his involvement in the burglary and theft of the money,” Smith said.

Further arrests may be made, pending additional information obtained during the investigation, the officer related.
