— The Gentry Lady Pioneers opened the softball season with games against two area 7A schools.

Although we had some strong defensive action, both games were sore losses with scores of 10-1 against Rogers, at home, and 9-0 against Har-Ber on their turf.

The Lady Pioneers continue the challenging schedule with a game Wednesday, March 9, against Springdale, and Thursday against Rogers Heritage, both away. At home Friday, we take on Greenland.

The team appreciates the great support of all the fans, and would like to encourage an atmosphere of good sportsmanship and fun throughout the season.

The March 1 game against Greenland was rescheduled to 4:30 p.m. Friday in Gentry.
