Training exercise

GRAVETTE — Quite a large crowd gathered in Gravette Wednesday evening when the night was filled with smoke and the glow of a large fire.

The Gravette volunteer fire department torched an old house at the corner of Akron and Fifth Street N.E. as a training exercise. A critique of the exercise was held later. Ironically, the old vacant structure many years ago was the home of a former Gravette fire chief, Ronnie Edgmon.
