Citywide cleanup planned April 4-8

— Gravette Mayor Byron Warren announced that April 4-8 will be the annual Spring Cleanup for the community and people should be making preparation for this free service.

“Curb-side pickup will be on Tuesday, April 5, only, but there will be two dumpsters available all week for dumping bulk items,” he said. The dumpsters will be located near the public works building, 801 Plant Access Road, off Eighth Avenue SW (near the sewer treatment plant).

The curb pickup will only be held on Tuesday, April 5, it was emphasized and persons should have their items curb-side early that day, when Roll-Off Service will make their rounds in addition to their regular Tuesday pickup schedule.

A list of items that will not be picked up, or whichshould not be placed in dumpsters was released. These include all types of hazardous materials, tires, appliances with freon, and include the following: computers, monitors, televisions, florescent tubes, railroad ties, medical waste, asbestos, animals, barrels and all liquids.
