— Harley Duncan

Harley Wilburn “Pete” Duncan, 77, of Decatur, died on March 18, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center, Springdale.

He was born Oct. 15, 1933, in Hiwasse, to James Blaine Duncan and Ellen Elizabeth Jameson Duncan. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a lifetime resident of Decatur and was employed by Peterson Industries as a truck driver and dispatcher for 45 years until his retirement in 2001. He married Virginia “Ginger” Kennedy on Dec. 8, 1956, in Decatur. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Orville, Leon, Ivan and Bobby; one sister, Angie Ladd; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Harley Michael Duncan, and Anthony Blaine Duncan and wife Sandy, all of Decatur, and Randall Lee Duncan and wife Kim, of Rogers; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two brothers, J.D. Duncan of Blackwell, Okla., and Kenneth Duncan of Bentonville.

Memorial services were March 22 at the United Methodist Church in Decatur. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Orvle Graham

Orvle “Leon” Graham, lifetime Maysville area resident, died March 19, 2011, in Grove, Okla., following an extended illness.

He was born on Dec. 31, 1934, in Maysville, to Orvle and Adah (Todd) Graham. He attended school in Jay, Okla., and graduated in 1952. He married Vivian Roberts on May 31, 1957, in Miami,Okla., just before joining the United States Army. He enjoyed bowling, OU football and St. Louis Cardinal baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, of the home; three sons, Wade and wife Debi, Kevin and wife Diane, and Dewayne and wife Marsha, all of Maysville; one brother, Devon and wife Donna, of Maysville; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the Maysville Cemetery in Maysville, with Raymond Scott officiating.

Carl Dean Stephens Pruitt, 85, of Hiwasse, died March 14, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.

She was born on May 13, 1925, in Jacket, Mo., to Stephen G. Wood and Cora L. Branham Wood. She loved to cook, spend time with family and travel with her sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmy L. Stephens of Bella Vista, Dale Stephens and wife Linda of Springdale; two sisters, Leta Faye Dean of Pea Ridge, Barbara Ginn and husband John of Centerton; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held March 17 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse, with Roy Roughton officiating. Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory in Bella Vista.

Sean Roper

Sean Douglas Roper, 18, of Jay, Okla., died March 14, 2011, near Vinita, Okla.

He was born Dec. 18, 1992,in Rogers to Sean Patric Roper and Kristine Diane Henry. He moved to Jay two years ago from Siloam Springs. He was employed as a cook for Sonic in Jay. He enjoyed track and field, played football and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Ed and Peg Hessenius, Ora Christaldi, B.D. Henry and Wilmae Henry.

Survivors include his dad, Sean Patric Roper and wife Laura Faye Williams-Roper of Jay; his mother, Kristine Diane Taff and husband Daron Wayne of Siloam Springs; his step-sister, Cayla Williams of Jay; one brother, Aaron Michael Roper of Siloam Springs; one sister, Sidney Marie Henry of Siloam Springs; his grandparents, John and Linda Henry of Siloam Springs; and his grandmothers, Carol Roper of Garfield, and Julie Bryantof Michigan.

Funeral services were March 21 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Elizabeth Russow

Elizabeth “Louise” Russow, 88, of Gravette, died March 14, 2011, at Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette.

She was born July 25, 1922, in Gravette, to William Clarence Hager and Mabel Ina White. She was a lifelong resident of Gravette and was employed by Gravette Shelling Plant and retired from Hudson Foods in Noel, Mo. She loved to write poems and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Leta Russell and Lillian Whiting; and one brother, Billy Hager.

Survivors include one son,Victor Case and wife Sue of Bentonville; one daughter, Pamela Russow-Nixon and husband Martin of Gravette; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were March 18 at First Christian Church in Gravette, with Jim Whisenant officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery, near Gravette. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Delbert Wilkins

Delbert "Lynn" Wilkins, 61, formerly of Siloam Springs, died Feb. 25, 2011, in Wasilla, Alaska.

He was born June 22, 1949, in Siloam Springs, to Delbert Earl and Wanda Faye (Gullett) Wilkins. He worked for Black Lake Buildings in Wasilla and enjoyed yard sales and spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his parents, of Siloam Springs; sisters, Arlene Miller of Fargo, N.D., Linda Dunlap of Marvell, and Peggy Still of Siloam Springs; brothers, James Wilkins of Gravette, David Wilkins of Atoka, Okla., Terry Wilkins of Garibaldi, Ore., and Ivan Wilkins of Omaha; two sons, Dennis and his wife Mary Tresner of Wasilla, Alaska, and Shawn and his wife Tamara Tresner of Edmond, Okla.; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service was held March 4, at Valley Funeral Home Chapel, in Wasilla. A local memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 27, at the Total Life Community Center on Highway 59 between Gentry and Siloam Springs. It will be an informal celebration of Wilkin’s life by his family and friends ending with a brief service by Ray House of the Gentry Seventhday Adventist Church.
