Seniors gather to raise money for Meals on Wheels in Gentry

Mayor delivers meals to Gentry resident Jeweldine Williams receives her Meals on Wheels dinner from Gentry Mayor Kevin Johnston on March 23. Johnston helped deliver meals to Gentry senior citizens as a part of the March for Meals campaign of Meals on Wheels. The program is seeking to raise awareness and funding to continue to provide hot meals to area senior citizens each day. The Gentry Senior Activity Center was taking donations to help pay for meals for seniors since the program has suffered from budget cuts at the federal level.
