Britton is finalist in scholarship program

— Gravette High School senior Kaitlynn Britton has been named a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship program, according to Michelle Robbins, director of educational services for the program.

Britton, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Britton of Gravette, is a finalist and is being considered for one of the National Merit $2,500 scholarships. The Merit Scholarship Program is the largest nationwide academic competition.

Britton, an honor graduate at GHS, has received scholarship offers from the Universities of Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas-Dallas and Oklahoma State totaling more than $564,000.

She has accepted a four-year Presidential Scholarship from the University of Tulsa where she plans to major in Biochemistry.
