— Glenn Duffy Elementary at Gravette announces PAWS Students for the month of May.

Students who received the award were: Macayla Foster (Decatur), Logan Smith (Bella Vista), MaKenna Anderson (Bella Vista), Joshua Welty (Sulphur Springs), Reese Hamilton (Hiwasse) and Julissa Sanchez (Sulphur Springs).

The “Pawsitive” and Wise Program incorporates character education into the school community. Each month a PAWS skill is chosen and discussedin classroom guidance in relation to character education. The character word for May is “cooperation”. Counselor Mrs. Roberts reminds students that they can show cooperation by working together during the last month of school to get all their classroom jobs done.

PAWS awards are given in the classroom, hallway, cafeteria, etc. as an incentive for students to practice the PAWS skill for the month. Students are recognized at Rise & Shine assemblies and PAWS Student of the Month Tshirts are sponsored by the Glenn Duffy Elementary PTO.
