— Happy Mother’s Day to you mothers out there.

Saturday, May 7, is the postal department food pickup day. Hang a can or two of nonperishable food on your mailbox for your mail carrier to pick up and deliver to the food pantry.

It was cold Thursday morning, 37 degrees, but the sunshine sure looked good. By the weekend it looked like we might get some more rain.

Karen Burns attended a baby shower in Bella Vista on Saturday honoring her minister’s wife.

Those having lunch with me on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier and Lamarise, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier and grandsons Zack and Gabe and Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier.

Novella Carlton was in Gravette Thursday and Friday evenings watching her grandson Jake play baseball.

Donna Schaeffer, whopreviously lived in the area, is visiting here and spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton.

Robert and Geneva Hamilton have been enjoying their grandchildren while Robert Paul and Amanda spent some time in Washington, D.C.

Congratulations to the Gravette varsity softball team. They are going to the regionals in Clarksville.

A cold May is kindly and fills the barn finely.
