AT THE GRAVETTE PUBLIC LIBRARY

— The Gravette Public Library will be undergoing a little face lift. We have approval through our mayor and city council to look at bids from carpet companies for the possibility of new carpet in the Main Area, Computer Room, Reference Room and Staff & Directors Room. We are also doing some work behind the library. We got help from D & C Wrecking Company to move our storage building onto the library’s yard and now will pour new pavement to have additional handicap parking and then gravelfor employee parking. This will free up parking spaces that the Boys and Girls Club, Swimming Pool and the Library share. We also are adding a sidewalk to adjoin the Boys and Girls Club walkway on around to the library’s front entrance so children will be safe and not walk across the parking lot.

I hope you will continue to come into your library and let us serve you. Your library is still looking into getting WiFi and getting in eBooks for you.

I know you have been following what is goingon in the newspapers about your library and hope you are satisfied with the changes that were made. Sometimes change is not necessarily a bad thing. We encourage you to come visit us; and now that we have openedup to all of Benton County for memberships, you should talk to us about other items you would like to see in your library.

I hope to continue to write to you weekly to update you on what is going on.
