— Area senior citizens are invited to attend a “Super Noggin” program Tuesday, May 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center in Gravette. Senior citizens from Gentry and Siloam Springs are also expected to attend the free event which will include a potluck meal served at the Gravette center, said Mary Kay Kelley, director.

Super Noggin is a brain health program for those who want to stay mentally sharp throughout life. It is designed to maintain and even improve brain fitness and, as a bonus, can contribute to good physical health.

Residents are already enjoying the “Brain Aerobics Weekly,” a monthly publication which provides brain exercises for seniors.

This is the first in what could become a regular monthly program, conducted by C.J. Foxx of Gravette, who will be making the presentation, Kelley said.

Those attending “will discover stimulating information, engage in group activities, make new friends and track their progress as they enjoy their way through the cognitive fitness program,” a promotional program says.

Kelley emphasized there is no charge but persons should call their local senior centers to make reservations so that ample preparations for the free meal can be made. Siloam Springs residents, call 542-5735; Gentry, 736-0378, and Gravette, 787-5950.
