— Linda Kirkland

Linda Cleo Kirkland, 67, of Avoca, died May 4, 2011, in Bentonville.

She was born March 26, 1944, in Springdale, to Cecil and May Lawson Richardson. She was a housewife.

Survivors include her father, Cecil Richardson of Highfill; one son, James Lynn Kirkland, Jr., of Avoca; two daughters, Cece Riggle and her husband Bob of Avoca, Kim Ross and her husband Earl of Avoca; two brothers, Sonny Richardson of Highfill, Mahlon Richardson of Siloam Springs; four sisters, Merlene Richardson of Highfill, Earlene Pilgrim of Gentry, Betty Collins and her husband Milford of Hindsville, Pat Richardson of Highfill; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kirkland; a granddaughter, Daisha Thomas; and her mother, May Richardson.

Graveside services wereMay 5 at the Blaylock Cemetery near Garfield, with Dale Qualls officiating. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.

Bea Lester

Bea Lester, 81, of Rogers and formerly of Sulphur Springs, died May 1, 2011, at Bradford House Nursing and Rehab in Bentonville.

She was born in Stilwell, Okla., on June 26, 1929, to Claude and Marie (Phillips) Ketcher.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Welch of Fayetteville, Carol Sue Norton of Centerton; sisters, Leta Mae Runyan of Sallisaw, Okla., Eloise Roughton of Pawhuska, Okla., Janet Williams of Rogers; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Lester; and three children, Judy Kennan, Johnny R. Lester and Mark Lester.

Funeral services were May 4 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.Burial followed in Rogers Cemetery. Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

Michael Redmond

Michael Jerry Redmond, 27, of Bentonville, died May 6, 2011, at Circle of Life Legacy Village.

He was born Jan. 13, 1984, in Rogers, to Richard Jerry Redmond and Sharon Roberts Redmond. He was a 2003 graduate of Bentonville High School and received many awards throughout his life. He was the recipient of the Kiwanis Youth Excellence Award for two years. He was also the Good Will Ambassador for Muscular Dystrophy Association and had the honor of meeting the governor. He was an avid worker for theMuscular Dystrophy Jerry Lewis Telethon. He was an avid Razorback fan.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Sharon Redmond of Bentonville.

Funeral services were May 9 at New Hope Assembly of God in Rogers with James Longmate officiating. Burial followed in Decatur Cemetery.

Arrangements were by Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville.

Robert Saunders

Robert Lee Saunders, 51, of Gravette, died of cancer on May 5, 2011, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Little Rock.

He was born April 29, 1960, to the late Ralph and Ollie Saunders. He was raised in Gravette and graduated from Gravette High School. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Gravette. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his brothers, Ralph and Lester Saunders, and his sister, Maggie Evans.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at First Christian Church in Gravette.
