Congratulations to all our area seniors who are graduating.

My granddaughter, Lamarise Carrier, drove me to the doctor on Wednesday and on the way home we stopped and ate supper with Lofty and DaleLynn.

Sympathy is extended to the family of J. 3D. Thomas for their loss.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Barbara Brooks and Don Wall were all in Ola, Ark., Friday evening to attend the graduation of Robert Brooks.

Those having lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier on Sunday and helping their son Mike celebrate his birthday were his children Alyssa, Zack and Gabe, his brother Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, his sister Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier and Lamarise and myself.

It was good to hear that Mitch Rogers’ brothers,Michael and Marty, were both improving. Let’s keep them in our prayers.

There appeared to be a good crowd at Mt. Pleasant for the business meeting Sunday afternoon. Next year will be the 100th anniversary of the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association. A special program will be planned and if you have any memories or ideas call Geneva Hamilton at 479-787-5824.

On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton and Kolton were in Proctor, Okla., for a family reunion and visited the local cemetery where family members are buried. They also visited a brother in Westville, Okla., who has recently had surgery.

May 25, 1986, some seven million people formed a line in Hands Across America to raise money for the nation’s hungry and homeless.
