Daylight Savings Time ends Sunday, Nov. 6. Fall back one hour.

There is an important election on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Be sure you go vote.

Don’t forget the reception honoring Billie Keith on her 90th birthday on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Hiwasse Community Center.

A large group of family and friends had supper with Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier on Thursday night, honoring Skylar before he reports to base in North Carolina.

Rick Banks is a patient atthe Gravette hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Several from the Hiwasse Church of Christ enjoyed a chili potluck lunch at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Keith after church on Sunday.

Mitch Rogers is on our sick list at this time. His brother Marty is back in the hospital in Dallas.

Little Trevor and Emily Blevins spent Saturday night and Sunday with Lofty and DaleLynn Carrier. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier and I joined them all for lunch on Sunday. It was Lamarise’s birthday.

Are you missing a mouse trap? I found one in my drive the other morning. Probably one of these stray cats dragged it in to clean it out.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton have returned home from Walnut Creek, Ohio, where they attended a reunion with Robert’s Army buddies. They enjoyed driving through the Amish country and spent a night going and coming with their daughter in St. Louis.

Nov. 2 is All Souls Day. The traditional foods for All Souls Day, honoring all those who have died (besides the saints) are beans, peas and lentils.
